Job - Dance Challenge

A freelance Stage Manager is sought for two and half day productions of several Dance Challenge™ events.

The suitable person will work in conjunction with the venues’ manager and the production team. He/She must have at least three years experience of working in middle and large scale dance and music productions.

Dance Challenge™ events engage large numbers of dancers and the show runs at a very fast pace. Therefore we are looking for a highly competent, extremely well organised and reliable person to work with our team in the following dates:

23 June Queen Elizabeth Hall (Matinee 13:00 and evening show 19:30) Fee: £250

28 June Cadogan Hall (Evening show 19:30) Fee: £150

3 July Cadogan Hall (Matinee 13:00 and evening show 19:30) Fee: £250

The total fee: £650.00

Collaboration and Inter-disciplinary Practice

This is the first Extend workshop scheduled for
Thursday 14th January, 12–5pm

Mayuri Boonham (one of the most highly experienced and respected choreographers and Bharatanatyam dancers working in the UK)will lead an exploration of the understanding required to support and work with other artists (from different disciplines) performing at live events. This session includes:
• Communicating with artists and colleagues effectively
• An artist’s requirement in the context of live performance
• Working effectively with artists from different disciplines

Creative and Cultural Skills Professional Development Programme


A programme of professional development Masterclasses for artists and people interested in careers in the arts.
198 Contemporary Arts and Learning has been funded through the LDA 2012 London Cultural skills fund to deliver the 1London project. This fund is designed to support the advancement of cultural and creative skills so that more people in London can have the chance to learn and develop through the arts during the Cultural Olympiad. 1 London will provide training to enable beneficiaries to meet skills shortages in the creative and cultural industries though master classes in arts management. All Masterclasses will be delivered by arts professionals.

An opportunity to get together, network and meet other participants.

All classes are free but require a £10 refundable deposit.
